What is a Bogdanoff meme?

In what's now known as “The Bogdanov Affair,” the twins wrote a series of theoretical physics papers published in reputable scientific journals in 2002.

Who were the Bogdanoffs and what did they study?

The Bogdanoffs claimed to be geniuses from an early age, saying they had each scored 190 on childhood I.Q. tests. They studied at the Paris Institute of Political Studies, also known as Sciences Po, and at the École Pratique des Hautes Études.
